Vaccination procedures for children under 16 in Shanghai have changed.
According to the Shanghai CDC news, the recently released Shanghai Vaccination Work Specification (2017 Edition), Shanghai Class I Vaccination Procedure (2017 Edition) and Shanghai Major Class II Vaccination Age Suggestion (2017 Edition) were further revised on the basis of the 2016 edition in combination with the latest national requirements and the actual work in this city. The updating contents of vaccination procedures involved mainly include:
DTP vaccine: At the age of 16 (or grade three), there is no need to vaccinate DTP vaccine. Children aged 6 and above who have been vaccinated with DTP vaccine and accumulated less than 3 doses of DTP vaccine will be supplemented with DTP vaccine.
BCG: The original "vaccination at 0 months old" was changed to "vaccination at birth".
Inactivated polio vaccine:
1. Children who have been immunized with tOPV (trivalent live attenuated polio vaccine) in the past can be replanted with bOPV (bivalent live attenuated polio vaccine) instead of IPV (inactivated polio vaccine).
2. People with primary immunodeficiency or similar diseases are advised to use IPV vaccination all the time and not OPV vaccination.
3. The shortest interval between doses of polio vaccine replanting is changed to 1 month.
Meningococcal polysaccharide vaccine: Children aged 24 months and above are not replanted with group A meningococcal polysaccharide vaccine, but directly inoculated with group AC meningococcal polysaccharide vaccine.
Chickenpox vaccine: the vaccination dose of children’s varicella vaccine is changed to 2 doses. The first dose is recommended to be vaccinated at the age of 12-18 months, and the second dose is recommended to be vaccinated at the age of 4 years.
In addition, this update further explains the inoculation interval between immunoglobulin and different kinds of vaccines: unless there are special provisions in the vaccine instructions, immunoglobulin is allowed to be inoculated at the same time with inactivated vaccines such as hepatitis B vaccine, DTP vaccine and pneumonia vaccine; Attenuated live vaccines (measles, leprosy, measles, Japanese encephalitis, hepatitis A, varicella vaccine, etc., but excluding BCG and live attenuated polio vaccine) can be inoculated at least 3 months after using immunoglobulin, and immunoglobulin can be used only 14 days after inoculation of the above attenuated live vaccines; Specific immunoglobulin is used in accordance with the instructions.
Why is the vaccine immunization program adjusted? In this regard, Shanghai CDC explained that the content of the immunization program involves not only the immunization year (month) age and vaccination times, but also the vaccination dose. According to reports, experts and policy makers will adjust the immunization program in a timely manner according to the relevant research progress in the field of vaccines, local disease prevention needs and vaccine supply, and comprehensively consider these factors, so as to strive for the recipients to obtain the best disease prevention effect under the premise of safe vaccination.
